Full Moon in Aquarius - Aug 1, 2023

A Full Moon occurs when the Moon and Sun are in opposition which means that the Sun is always in the sign opposite to where the Moon is. 

Aquarius / Leo Axis: 

Your individual self vs. The group. The Leo Sun in this case needs the Aquarius Moon, without an audience Leo has no one to perform for. Honour your differences and let others see them without worrying about what others think. 

In August there are two Full Moons. This being the first one. The second one occurs at the end of the month and is considered a Blue Moon. 

Planets having a conversation with the Full Moon:

Quincunx Mercury: You may feel that your common sense has left you and you are questioning things that you don't usually question.  Feelings and past experiences may cloud your ability to see things as they really are. 

Quincunx Mars: Very quick to protect those that you love and care for. With a hard aspect instead of your home being a place to recharge your batteries you are finding that home is why you need those batteries recharged. There seem to be conflicting emotional needs. There may be sudden arguments or people that have trouble regulating their emotions at this time. 

Square Jupiter: Feeling stuck, wanting to expand and go further but home and or emotions are getting in the way. There is a need for faith and believing in the outcome that you want to achieve. With the Moon and Jupiter there is a need for protection, so there is either too much protection going on or not enough in the collective energy. 

Planets having intense conversations: 

Pluto square the North Node: There is a feeling of suppression of society at large. There is an energy that is stopping growth or what appears to be stopping growth but presenting major issues and challenges that must be met head on and faced. There may be energies that are disruptive or even destructive at this time. Pay attention to what is going on behind the scenes. This Full Moon may even bring these issues to light. 

Mercury oppose Saturn: The voice of authority here may be too loud and over-bearing. Going too far to put in place and show the power that they have. This is a common aspect that has to do with learning the hard way. 

Venus Quincunx Neptune: There is a sense of illusion and rose coloured glasses that do not serve you well when these two planets are having a hard conversation. You want things to be perfect but are not willing to go through the hard work to achieve that perfection. Be careful with money during this time. 

This Full Moon is full of hard aspects meaning that the energy can be challenging. Your emotions may get the best of you if you are not aware of the energies surrounding you. 

Self Care during this Full Moon is important; you may find that simple breathwork is highly beneficial to bringing a sense of calm and balance back into your energy field.
